Lockheed Martin Selects M2 Global Technology Ltd. For Mentor-Protégé Agreement

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, 06/22/2009 --

Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has entered into a U.S. Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé Agreement with M2 Global Technology Ltd. of San Antonio, Texas, a small business supplier to Lockheed Martin's F-16, F-22, and F-35 programs.

Over the one-year period of the Mentor-Protégé relationship, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics will assist and guide M2 Global, a service disabled veteran–owned small business, in the further development and refinement of the manufacturing and management processes needed to better serve its key aerospace, defense, and commercial markets.

Lockheed Martin engineers have been working with M2 Global's manufacturing team over the past year to certify processes in the following areas: metal chem film, prime and finish paint, fuel tank coatings, and conductivity and hardness testing. Metal anodizing and heat-treating processes are scheduled for certification in midsummer.
